SQL BI Analyst (mid-tier)
 
Job Description:

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated hands on experience with SSIS, and SSRS. 3+ years preferred.
  • Experience or understanding of SSAS a strong plus
  • A strong analytics and communications background
    • Math, statistics, quantitative methods proficiency, coupled with oral & written proficiency
    • Comfortable in front of non-technical people, translating complex concepts into everyday language
  • Experience architecting and implementing complex BI solutions
  • 7+ years SQL 2000/2005 Development experience including T-SQL, MDX, and Database Design.
  • A strong curiosity about our clients business needs coupled with a passion to stay on the cutting edge.
  • Consulting skills reflecting team building, flexibility, and customer service.
  • 5+ year’s development experience on full-life cycle projects. 
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or engineering related field or equivalent work experience.

Ability to demonstrate skills in analysis, design, implementation, and development process.

Job Title:

SQL DBA (mid-tier)

 

Job Description:

The primary objective of the SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) is to develop and maintain the corporate SQL Server databases as well as Data warehouse ensuring data integrity, security, retention, and recoverability of the data.

In this role, the DBA will design, build, test, and deploy quality database solutions that are consistent with project objectives, technology architecture standards and departmental best practices. The DBA will design and implement database strategies, administer enterprise-wide data architecture, implement complex data structures, and provide daily management of corporate databases.

The DBA will create and administer database objects from design to deployment utilizing subject matter expertise to design or re-use, configure, and implement database solutions/processes that maximize system availability, efficiency, effectiveness, integrity, recoverability, and supportability

 Required Skills -- Technical:

• Prior experience as a senior SQL Server DBA in medium-to-large complex and enterprise class environments for minimum of three years.

• SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012 experience with a minimum of three years’ experience in overall SQL Server administration. 

• Skills in each of the following operations areas:

o Database Architecture/Design

o Configuration/Installation/Upgrades

o Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping

o Creating tables, indexes, views, constraints, triggers, etc.

o Transact SQL

o Stored Procedures

o DTS Packages

o SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS

o Performance and Tuning

o Backup/Recovery
